Building Bridges of Cooperation with Key Stakeholders and Institutions in Albania and Kosovo

Building bridges of cooperation with key stakeholders and institutions in Albania and Kosovo is one of the main objectives of the EFFORT Project. Engaging local and national stakeholders creates a platform for achieving common goals.

In Albania and Kosovo, the project implementation team has held various meetings with stakeholders such as the Energy Regulatory Authority (ZRRE), the Electricity Distribution Company (KESCO), the Renewable Energy Research and Education Fund (FKEE), the Electricity Distribution Operator (OSHEE), the Regional Environmental Directorate, the Energy Efficiency Agency, and the Vocational School in Mirditë, all of which have played a significant role in supporting strategies for renewable energy and improving energy infrastructure. Regular meetings, knowledge sharing, and the establishment of sustainable partnerships among these stakeholders are essential to ensure sustainable development and increase the impact of energy initiatives at the regional and local levels.

Furthermore, cooperation with the private and academic sectors helps create an inclusive approach for implementing policies and measures for renewable energy and energy efficiency.

This close collaboration is crucial to achieving the goals of projects such as EFFORT and ensuring a cleaner and more sustainable energy infrastructure, contributing to economic development and environmental preservation for future generations.

The EFFORT project is implemented by the Municipality of Mirditë, the Municipality of Junik and Co-PLAN, Institute for Habitat Development, and is funded by the European Union through the IPA Cross-Border Albania-Kosovo program.
