Environment and Climate Resilience

Co-PLAN excels in Environmental and Climate Resilience, demonstrating a profound commitment to sustainable environmental management and adaptive planning to combat the challenges posed by climate change. Our extensive project portfolio reflects a holistic approach to addressing environmental issues, fostering sustainability, and strengthening communities against the impacts of climate change. At the core of our expertise lies an integrated perspective on environmental management, encompassing territorial research, policy formulation, and capacity building. We work on enhancing service standards and efficiency within urban environmental management, particularly in solid waste and energy areas. Our efforts include supporting institutional capabilities by providing comprehensive guidelines and on-the-ground assistance and fostering partnerships between the public and private sectors to drive environmental initiatives forward. In the realm of climate resilience, Co-PLAN offers a spectrum of services ranging from climate finance consultations to the development of disaster risk reduction strategies and action plans tailored to the needs of both central and local governments. In the last years, we have actively conceptualized, contributed to, and monitored a JUST Green Transition in Western Balkan countries, ensuring alignment with European standards and best practices.  In support of the Acquis Communautaire approximation process, Co-PLAN has worked on several projects, including piloting innovative practices and standards and developing institutional capacities and supporting environmental initiatives and organizations around Albania.
